The Assistant Instructor course is the final step before the PADI instructor level.
The Assistant Instructor can teach more skills alone in confined water, participate in the education, supervise students, and oversee certain skills and knowledge independently under the supervision of a PADI instructor.
The course consists of theoretical education and practical sessions.
Theoretical education:
- Theoretical training is based on the knowledge acquired in the Divemaster course.
- you will learn how to transfer the acquired knowledge so that it can be understood even by someone who is not yet a diver
- you will learn when and what you should pay attention so that the students understand and become familiar with the diving requirements appropriate to their level.
- you will attend all courses from beginner to divemaster level, where you will give certain presentations to the students and you will also evaluate it under the supervision of your PADI instructor.
- The theoretical part of th course ends with the completion of the exam test.
- During the practical sessions, you already participate in the training as the assistent of the instructor.
- there will be confined water exercises that you can lead and evaluate on your own and ones that you will need to perform and present under the supervision of your instructor
- you will learn the levels of assessment, what is appropriate and what is not
- you will learn how to conduct a swimming pool or confined water session, when and what you should pay attention, what are the dangers of a swimming pool session and how to avoid them.

- PADI Divemaster certification
- proof of medical fitness not older than 1 year
- EFR course not more than 2 years old
